For decades, it has supported educational institutions in the Apapa area and served the maritime sector by providing a reliable venue for aquatic training, capacity building, and inter-school competitions.

Strategically located near the Apapa Quays, the pool benefits from its waterfront setting, which offers natural ventilation, ambient cooling, and a scenic backdrop. This unique environment creates an inviting space for both leisurely swimming and competitive activity.
Access is exclusive to club members during designated operational hours. As one of the club’s flagship offerings, the swimming pool reflects Apapa Club’s enduring commitment to delivering premium experiences and upholding high service standards. In 2022, under the leadership of Club President Arc. Chiedozie Udeze, the Swimming Pool Section was formally institutionalized as an independent unit within the club’s governance structure. Ope Senbanjo was appointed as the inaugural Section Captain, laying the groundwork for structured programming and enhanced sectional member participation. Following the most recent internal elections, Ese Akpe now serves as the second Section Captain. Supported by his executive team, Captain Akpe is tasked with upholding the standards set by his predecessor while expanding the section’s reach and value to members.
